Rosabella Studio

Rosabella Studio is a ceramic studio rooted in the things I keep coming back to; good food, shared tables, long conversations and the small rituals that make an ordinary day feel special and nourishing. I am interested in the relationship between people, objects and the spaces they inhabit. My practice moves between ceramics, product design and the spaces in between. I work mainly with clay, making functional objects for everyday life. I like objects that are quiet but considered, where the shape, weight, surface and material all have a reason to be there. I am drawn to the small imperfections that come with making by hand, and to the idea that an object can become more meaningful through the way we use it. Much of my work begins around a table. Through collaborations with cafés, restaurants and other spaces, I make pieces that are shaped by the people, places and rituals they are made for. Rosabella Studio is an ongoing exploration of objects, rituals and the everyday.
